so this criminal gets a forty year sentence. So that’s 4 decades. He was supposed to serve 4 decades in jail. For his felonies, instead, somehow he gets out after less than a year and kills this police officer. What’s wrong with our system that we can’t keep people in jail, but yet we’re building jails. For immigrants? Wow.
i was recently pulled over because my tags have been taken off by somebody. Car is registered correctly, but no tags. My guess is the officer didn’t run the plate. He just pulled me over because he wanted to. Three policemen surrounded my car and wanted to look in through my windows and ask me to roll down my window.So they could see inside my car, so they could see better inside my car. I did everything the officers wanted, including rolling down my windows. It’s a little disturbing getting interrogated by police officers. But the thing you have to remember is there’s all these criminals out on the streets. Because the system is broken and they do not serve their time, and they’re full on criminals.And they will kill you. So even though I want to write the local police department and tell them, could they be a little bit less rude? And a little bit less intrusive on a simple pull over? It just disturbs me but i’m not going to write the letter to my local police because I understand it’s really dangerous being a police officer.
Around 9:26 p.m., the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office received a call for a welfare check. When Deputy Utt and another deputy arrived at the scene, the subject fired at both deputies before fleeing.
Deputy Utt was killed. The other deputy was struck in his ballistic vest and received medical treatment.
The suspect was arrested two days later in North Carolina. He has been charged with murder. The suspect, a convicted felon, was convicted of eight felony charges in 2015, but only served eight months of the 40-year sentence.
Deputy Utt was a United States Air Force veteran and had served with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office for over two years. H
