i followed this website’s instructions and just added an extra spring. Exactly like you see in the picture, you see 2 little Springs? The factory spring is very weak, and it just can’t pull the gear into place after years of use. I followed the instructions here,. That’s exactly what I did. I did NOT have to pull off the side cover, I was able to add the new spring after removing the corner cover. I just got another spring from my inventory. Connected it in there, and that was enough to pull that lever and make the solenoid work correctly.
Symptom: Printer prints one page, but page gets stuck and does NOT exit the printer completely. You can pull out the first page, and its good, print quality if fine, just will not exit the printer and next page gets stuck in printer. Printer shows JAM and instructions to remove paper.
i did try to troubleshoot the drum and clean the drum, but it wasn’t the drum at all.
